Operator
Kalenda is operated by The Business Clinic Limited. Technology and shared services may be provided by BizClinic Africa LLC.
What this page covers
How professional services booked on Kalenda are delivered. This is separate from physical shipping (see [Shipping policy](/shipping-policy)).
Contracting party
The contract for a professional service is between the client and the practice named at checkout. Kalenda provides software for discovery, booking and payments. Kalenda does not itself practise medicine, law, accounting or other regulated professions, and does not endorse professional outcomes.
Delivery modes
Offerings may be:
- In person — at a practice location or agreed address, with timezone shown for the booking.
- Remote — video, phone or other remote channel disclosed at checkout.
- Group / package sessions — where the practice has configured them.
Default display timezone for Kenya practices is Africa/Nairobi when no other practice timezone is set; the booking confirmation shows the actual timezone used for the appointment.
Scheduling and completion
Bookings have lifecycle states separate from payment status (for example confirmed, completed, cancelled, no-show, expired). A practitioner marking a session complete does not prevent a client from raising a complaint under the [Dispute resolution](/dispute-resolution) process.
Evidence
Kalenda may retain booking, payment and attendance records needed for operations and disputes. Clinical notes, privileged communications and session recordings are not collected merely for payment processing.
